First Words Forward Consultations

FWF provides parent- and caregiver-focused educational consultation regarding children's speech, language, communication, and development.

Consultations may include discussion of information provided by parents or caregivers, education about communication development, strategies for everyday interactions, and guidance regarding resources or possible next steps.

FWF consultation services do not constitute speech-language evaluation or treatment of your child. FWF does not provide a formal diagnosis, establish an individualized treatment plan, provide direct speech-language therapy to your child, or serve as your child's treating speech-language pathologist.

If your child needs evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment, you should seek an appropriately licensed professional where your child is located.

No Guarantee of Results

Children vary in their development and response to communication strategies. FWF does not guarantee any particular developmental, communication, educational, or other outcome from use of its information, resources, or consultation services.

Health and Safety

Information provided by FWF is not a substitute for medical care, developmental evaluation, or other professional services when those services are needed.

If you believe your child is experiencing a medical or other emergency, call 911 or seek appropriate emergency care.

Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Protected health information provided in connection with FWF services is addressed in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
