Consultation Services
While rooted in clinical expertise, First Words Forward focuses on education and parent coaching rather than direct therapy. Sessions are designed to empower families with practical tools, insights, and strategies they can use every day to support their child’s communication, learning, and development at home.
Consultations are parent-focused and centered on real-life routines. At times, your child may be present during sessions so I can observe interactions and discuss strategies in real-time; however, services remain consultative and are not direct therapy or treatment.
Because every family’s needs are unique, consultation options are flexible and designed to provide support at the level you need.

Speech and language development
Early communication and AAC use
Language-based literacy and learning (including support for dyslexia and related learning differences)
Homeschool structure, routines, and daily flow
Supporting participation, behavior, and engagement

Many families come with overlapping concerns. Sessions are designed to address communication and learning together, not in isolation.

Initial Consultation
A comprehensive session to review your child’s strengths, needs, and current patterns across communication and learning.
Together, we will:
Review your child’s history and current development
Identify key priorities within daily routines and learning environments
Develop practical, parent-led strategies you can begin using right away
Includes a written Support Plan outlining personalized strategies, key priorities, and clear next steps for implementation at home.
75 minutes | $550
Follow-Up Consultation
Ongoing support to help you refine and adjust strategies as your child grows and your needs evolve.
These sessions are designed to:
Review what you are observing at home
Troubleshoot challenges and identify patterns
Adjust and refine your approach in real time
Includes a written Action Plan Summary with key strategies, updates, and next steps following each session.
Available after an Initial Consultation.
60 minutes | $350
Strategy Session
A short, targeted session designed to address a single question or specific challenge.
Ideal for:
Clarifying a specific concern
Getting quick guidance
Thinking through next steps
No written summary included.
Best suited for families who have completed an Initial Consultation.
30 minutes | $150
Curriculum & Resource Development
For families who need more structured support, custom resources and planning are available to help create clarity and consistency at home.
This may include:
Language-informed homeschool curriculum planning
Daily routine frameworks and visual supports
Communication-informed learning supports
Strategy guides tailored to your child’s needs
All resources are designed to support parent implementation within everyday routines.
Custom proposals are provided following a consultation.
